Despite facing challenges that come with inadequate resources in schools, young people continue to embrace these challenges in modern times. Their determination echoes through their daily library attendance to do further reading, finish homework and assignments, carry out research work, and use computers in their learning.

This has been the case at the AMG Foundation libraries in Muranga, established in 2009. To further empower the learners in Kagunduini and Githumu villages, AMG Foundation donated over 600 primary and secondary books on 6th July 2024 to ensure the learners have access to the current CBC Curriculum text books.

Additionally, an expansion plan for more libraries across Kenya is underway with one to be established in Nairobi’s Kibera location in the next few weeks. These contributions are geared towards transforming communities through empowerment, mentorship, and scholarship of learners from economically challenged backgrounds.

“With more than 500 attendees, including adults accessing AMG Foundation libraries every month we have no doubt that our current and future generations are set for better lives. We look forward to a steady growth in library attendance as we ensure the facilities are well-equipped, noted,” Andrew Muthee Gitau, Chairman of AMG Foundation.
